hALLoWELLness LGBTQ+ Health Fair
On Friday, October 30, Project MORE will host hALLoWELLness, a Halloween-themed health fair and pop-up clinic, providing a safe and affirming opportunity for LGBTQ+ people, their families, and Allies to receive FREE wellness testing, vaccinations, and resources from 11:00 am to 5:30pm in downtown San José. NO insurance is needed.
COVID-19 Testing
- Testing is available for all ages
- This is a PCR test to detect the virus that causes COVID-19, for the purposes of diagnosis and treatment of current infection. This is not an antibody test. The test will be collected by a nasal swab
- If you are having symptoms, you are encouraged to contact your healthcare professional or schedule a drive-thru testing appointment here to reduce the chance of getting others sick

Appointments Encouraged
Walk Ups Welcome
We encourage community to schedule an appointment for you and/or your family members to skip the lines and receive services in just 10 minutes. Please make an appointment by October 27 to guarantee services & resources. Walk-ups are welcome and will be served on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Most will be served in about 20 minutes.
No Insurance Needed
No medical insurance is needed. Everyone will be served at no charge without judgement or discrimination.
Safety First
Everyone’s health and safety is important to us. Everyone is required to wear a face covering that must cover the nose and mouth completely. Everyone will be required to practices physical distancing, maintaining at least 6 feet apart.
Acceptable face coverings must be worn at all times, such as:
- Disposable mask
- Cloth mask
- Religious face covering
A face shield does NOT replace a mask/face covering, but can be an added level of protection for those that wish to wear one.

hALLoWELLness will be at Local Color, a partner of the Qmunity District. While in the neighborhood, individuals who are not sick/symptomatic, should visit the District on Post Street in downtown San José for good eats, cocktails, and sweet treats. A place where We Are Qmunity!
Park
Parking is available at the 60 Market Street Garage (entrance and exit on 1st St.), next to Local Color. Just a few blocks away, additional parking lots and garages can be found here.
Bus
Guests may take the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) bus routes 22, 522, 68, 66, and other routes near W. Santa Clara and S. Market Street. For schedule and route details, visit the VTA website

LGBTQ+ Wellness has remained a core area of advocacy from Project MORE’s inception. Community feedback and public health data continue to underscore health disparities, discrimination, and barrier to accessing affordable, inclusive, competent healthcare and wellness services. This is why we have worked extensively to educate, advocate, and connect the queer community with the resources they need to live healthy lives through initiatives like hALLoWELLness.
hALLoWELLness is a community intuitive of Project MORE in partnership with the Santa Clara County Office of LGBTQ Affairs and the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department with the generous support of Avenidas, Cosplay with Pride, Knight Foundation, Local Color, and Safeway
hALLoWELLness details are subject to change without notice. All attendees are required to abide by all California and County of Santa Clara health and safety guidelines, including use of face coverings and physical distancing. Individuals who refuse to abide by such rules, will be asked to leave or denied entry.
