Suicide Prevention Survey

You are invited to participate in the County of Santa Clara Suicide Prevention Campaign Survey!

The County, in collaboration with evaluators from Hatchuel Tabernik & Associates, is conducting a survey as part of its Suicide Prevention Campaign among middle-aged Spanish-speaking men, and we need your help! The brief 10 minute survey will help the County learn more about what our Spanish-speaking community think and know about suicide and suicide prevention. Results from the survey will be used to inform future prevention efforts in the community.

We sincerely hope that you will take the survey! All responses will be anonymous and confidential.

Please click here to take the survey now!

Juneteenth

The US Senate unanimously passed a bill making Juneteenth a federal holiday and the House is expected to follow suit later today. With COVID restrictions lifting nationwide, community groups and organizations have planned plenty of ways to celebrate the holiday, commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S. every year on June 19.

The San Jose African America Community Services Agency is hosting their 40th Annual Juneteenth in the Park Festival from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday at Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. https://www.sjaacsa.org/juneteenth/home

Elsewhere in the Bay Area, the SF Chronicle compiled a list of activities and events this weekend: https://datebook.sfchronicle.com/guide/how-to-celebrate-juneteenth-in-the-bay-area

In Sacramento, there are events planned all weekend: https://sacramentojuneteenthinc.org/festival/
